blackberry cake

recipe adapted from natalie!



I did everything the same as the recipe she gave me, except added 1 tsp of vanilla in place of 1/2, a half teaspoon more or baking powder and some oil as well as the butter to moisten it out more. I love making cakes with both oil and butter. I have yet to receive punishment. Oh, and I also added about a half a teaspoon of salt.
So the recipe ended up looking like:
1/2 cup of butter blended with 1 cup granulated sugar. add one egg, 1 tsp vanilla, and then 2 cups flour, 2 tsp baking powder, 3/4 cup milk, 1/2 tsp salt, probably about 1/4 cup oil, and fresh - amazing, sweet, munchable - blackberries folded in. About two cups. I intentionally bought 3 cups worth because I knew I'd make my way through one during mixing.
