A Weekend in November

Yesterday morning: Breakfast time at the Country Estate: Chex with soymilk and peanut butter pie...and a spoon. So cute.

Yesterday evening: White girl takes on Thai food...again.

Made a marinade of soy sauce, general tso powder mix (don't judge me), sriracha, ginger, garlic, a bit of water to thin out the salt content, basil and sugar. Very sweet, very spicy, very garlicky/gingery.
Marinated the tofu in this for awhile. And then made a piping hot mess of onion, bell pepper, green onion, cilantro, more ginger, more garlic, broccoli and huge amounts of mushrooms. Cooked down with marinade and a splash of white wine. Added the tofu to the big mix.

Watched Adaptation and pigged out. Played poker and pigged out. Watched the Royal Tenenbaums and pigged out. Rainy Idaho weekends are good. These pictures kinda suck.

Today's morning: Decided to utilize the papas in the kitchen. Made garlicky spiced oven fries. Lots of olive oil, garlic, cayenne, chili powder, salt and pepper. Eaten by Noah with ketchup and sriracha, which is exactly what I would have recommended.
Noah said something to himself like "Welcome to Idaho, Noah" in reference to the potatoes. Even though he's been here for his whole life. He said it's like he's "never seen the flowers." Or something. Flowers meaning potatoes.
