Knock-off night

Tonight was knock-off night. Marie Callender's vegetable soup (kinda) and Little Caesar's Crazy Bread (kinda).

But first...Valentine's Day tree!

^_^

Okie...How a lot of meals I cook start...

Making "Crazy Bread". Just Pillsbury biscuit dough rolled out with heaping amounts of parmesan cheese (the cheap kind) and a little garlic powder. Nothing amazingly complicated or innovative, but yeah. Just good solid stuff. The Pillsbury dough already has ample amounts of flavor (in the visible butter chunks throughout, a healthy amount of sodium and other odd good-tasting things Pillsbury has come up with) that these really couldn't, or shouldn't, take too much added schtuff.

My attempt at Marie Callender's vegetable soup, which I always crave. Onion, carrot, celery, sauteed down. Red bell pepper, green bell pepper, green onions, cabbage, fresh garlic added. Soy sauce for depth. Water. V8. Canned tomatoes. Basil. Red pepper flakes. Black pepper. Onion powder. Meow. Cooked down all stew-like while the kitchen filled with Little Caesar's/Stephanie's biscuity/bread smell.

I KNOW these look absurd, but the dough is really stubborn when it comes to reshaping it from its buttery globule-filled fluffiness...and all of that light brown stuff is toasted parmesan that got baked around the parmesan bread sticks themselves. Would have been a devastatingly stupid thing to waste...

Dinner for Babees. Watched Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging.

Now Noah's tuning the mandolin.
