The crisp cool of autumn has blanketed Boise without much warning. As of maybe 2 weeks ago, it was in the mid-high-eighties with warm sun. It was uncomfortably hot just to wear black. Now, it's cold and blustery, and my breath was even fogging before my face a little bit today.
This called for soup:
Seafood soup. Big chunks of lean, white tilapia.
Also involved was fresh onion, garlic, red bell pepper, roma tomatoes, sundried tomatoes, celery, carrot, basil, tomato paste, eggplant, fresh thyme, clams, clam juice, chicken broth, paprika, spicy cayenne pepper, black pepper and salt as needed.
Also, my sinus infection is weakening :) So now I can actually taste this richly-flavored, spicy, high-protein mug of love.
